Gundalow Homeschool Program: Scientists at the Shoreline

Join us this spring for a 5 week long homeschool science course.

The Gundalow Company delivers place-based, inquiry driven education programs that take students outside to experience science and exploration first hand.  Place-based education focuses on learning about science that is occurring right here in our own back yards.  This course includes 4 weeks of 1 hour outdoor classes along the waterfront of Portsmouth NH culminating in a 2.5 hour sailing and science exploration that starts in Portsmouth and ends in Dover.  We will trace the Piscataqua and Cocheco rivers from the Harbor right up the mills in Dover.  Throughout the course we will participate in hands-on science and study using a variety of science equipment to study water quality, marine organisms, etc.  Our homeschool programs fill fast, so register today.

Program Dates

May 26, June 2, June 9, and June 16

12:00-1:00 for 7-10 year olds

1:30 – 2:30 for 10-14 year olds

Sailing Date: June 23 – 9:30-12:00 for all ages

Cost: $80 ($70 for members)– learn more about membership
