The 11th Annual Round Island Regatta will take place on Saturday August 7, 2021
Launching from Peirce Island in the south end of Portsmouth, NH, the friendly race is open to paddlers, rowers, and sailors. Spectators and kids are welcome to attend – This is a fun, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities!
Race times are between 12 and 2pm. Your competitor or spectator ticket gets you into the afterparty on Four Tree Island with lunch, drinks, and desserts provided.
All proceeds and sponsorships support the Gundalow Company’s mission to “protect the Piscataqua Region’s Maritime Heritage and Environment through Education and Action.”

Race times 12 – 2pm
Sailboat Skippers Meeting, @Peirce Ramp (please launch and rig your boat prior)
Class 1 Sail start on the water to follow
Paddle and Oar Skippers Meeting, All Paddle classes @Peirce Ramp
First: Lady Isle course rowers and paddlers start
Second: youth paddle class start
Third: Single Paddlers (14+) start
Fourth: Multi-Paddlers class start
Awards Ceremony
Awards and a meal provided on Four Tree Island.
Parking:
Trailered boats should launch and then park at the Peirce Island ramp prior to their skipper’s meeting time. There is no launch fee for racers. Please avoid blocking the launch ramp for any longer than necessary, as it remains open to the public.
“Round Island” Regatta course — Starting near the South End Yacht Club, leave Round Island and both race marks (here labeled SE and NW) to PORT for two loops before heading to the finish. 3000 ft / ½ nautical mile each loop, total around 1 mile.
