A presentation by Paul & Denise Pouliot ~ Head Speakers of the Cowasuck Band of the Pennacook Abenaki
This presentation will focus on Abenaki lifeways along the Piscataqua watershed and Great Bay estuary. Paul and Denise will discuss what indigenous life was like prior to contact, including indigenous place names and cultural practices. They will also share some of what the tribe is doing to expand traditional stewardship practices through education and partnerships with the greater regional community today.
