go here Join the Amesbury Carriage Museum and Portsmouth’s Gundalow Company on the lateen-rigged flat-bottom sailing river barge as it journeys along the Merrimack River. This special trip will board at Lowell’s Boat Shop in Amesbury, MA, and make use of the tides and the wind to venture along the storied waterfront where boats like the gundalow once plied with salt marsh hay, bricks, lumber, and other goods. From the 1650s, gundalows were an efficient way to carry goods between river towns, until just about the time when Amesbury Carriages on land became more favorable. https://www.brigantesenglishwalks.com/yxmm2w3awj Tickets are $38 per person. Food and drink are welcome on board.
