Fall Program Guidelines: Groups of 10 total: 8 students, 2 staff Additional staff may interact with multiple groups if they are mandatory for the running of specific portions of the program and they maintain 6 feet of social distancing. This includes boat drivers. Each programs group will interact only with their own programs group All adults visiting or dropping students off at day programs should wear a cloth face covering over their nose and mouth when at the day programs facility or public spaces where other individuals are present when social distancing is not possible. Fall Programs The Gundalow Company staff is currently looking at providing new programs. We are designing our programs to maximize safety, promote outdoor student learning, and provide new opportunities for students. These programs will operate primarily outside in small groups of no more than 8 students and will welcome both NH and ME residence. Our 2020 half-day River Rats program will be action-packed and adventure-filled just like our typical full day programs. Some of our campers’ favorite activities are still on the agenda: kayaking, exploring nearby islands, scavenger hunts, games, and learning about critters. We will likely start our half-day with an icebreaker or no-contact game, then get into our main activity for the majority of the time (maybe 2 activities, like a scavenger hunt and swimming, if there’s time!) and then regroup for a craft or game at the end of the half-day. Val Spends her summers as teh lead counselor for all Gundalow camp programs. In that role she supervises all counselors and manages all logistics for the various camp programs and activities. This is her third year working at Gundalow summer camps.
Dear Camp Families, As many of you know, Governor Sununu announced this past Friday that summer day camps may start operating on June 22nd. Along with this announcement Sununu released a series of guidelines for opening camps. The Gundalow Company staff has spent the last several days reviewing these guidelines and aligning them with our existing program and safety standards and have come to the difficult realization that several of these guidelines make it impossible to operate our summer camp program as it exists.
