Update from Rich Clycorne, Sept 2021: Bruce was a generous man who provided funding for schools in the Concord-Hopkinton-Henniker-Weare areas of the state to participate in our Celebrating our Rivers school programs; the funding also included the transportation costs for the schools to and from Portsmouth. Bruce, and his son Bill, visited Portsmouth back in 2011 and were given a tour of the Piscataqua by Molly Bolster (Director Emeritus) as the vessel was being built on the grounds of Strawbery Banke. For example, Joey is a founding Trustee and served as The Gundalow Company’s Chairman from 2002-2009. Currently he serves on the Development Committee and as a ‘sometime’ crew member aboard the Piscataqua gundalow.
