ON BEHALF OF NEWBURYPORT BANK President and CEO Lloyd Hamm donated $10,000 as the lead corporate sponsor of Gundalow Company’s ‘Piscataqua Riverfest 2022’ special event, to be held Saturday, June 4th, in partnership with Strawbery Banke Museum. The bank’s locations include Amesbury, Dover, Exeter, Hampton, Newbury, Newburyport, Portsmouth and Salisbury. For example, in 2019 she hosted a ‘Gundalow Gathering,’ a fundraiser in which guests dined in her home and were entertained with a special presentation. Meet a Member: Bruce Elliot

95-year-old Bruce Elliott is a no-nonsense, self-proclaimed former ‘Army brat’ who supports nine towns and eight elementary schools in Henniker and bordering towns with his thousands of dollars of regular donations to Gundalow Company’s youth educational programs. “I can literally see how my money is making a difference,” he explains.

GUNDALOW ROLES York Harbor, Maine, residents Joey and Carol Donnelly wear, and have worn, many different hats for The Gundalow Company. For example, Joey is a founding Trustee and served as The Gundalow Company’s Chairman from 2002-2009. Currently he serves on the Development Committee and as a ‘sometime’ crew member aboard the Piscataqua gundalow.

GUNDALOW ROLES Paula is a deckhand and assists with office tasks. She also volunteers at the Round Island Regatta. Michael too is a deckhand. An experienced photographer, he captures activities aboard Piscataqua during school and public sails. Many of his photos can be seen at the Gundalow website and in publicity brochures. He also works at the Round Island Regatta. One of his favorite tasks during summer is River Rats day camp, showing campers how to row and be safe in Wherries.
