GUNDALOW ROLES York Harbor, Maine, residents Joey and Carol Donnelly wear, and have worn, many different hats for The Gundalow Company. For example, Joey is a founding Trustee and served as The Gundalow Company’s Chairman from 2002-2009. Currently he serves on the Development Committee and as a ‘sometime’ crew member aboard the Piscataqua gundalow.
GUNDALOW ROLES Paula is a deckhand and assists with office tasks. She also volunteers at the Round Island Regatta. Michael too is a deckhand. An experienced photographer, he captures activities aboard Piscataqua during school and public sails. Many of his photos can be seen at the Gundalow website and in publicity brochures. He also works at the Round Island Regatta. One of his favorite tasks during summer is River Rats day camp, showing campers how to row and be safe in Wherries. Gundalow Guardians Bob Kozman (left) and Ed Caylor, both residents of Portsmouth, have been volunteering their time and elbow grease protecting the Piscataqua for four and six winters, respectively. They check bilges, docklines, and the cover on a regular basis, and especially after winter storms, when they shovel snow off the gangway and dock. “Bob and Ed are two of our most dedicated long-term volunteers,“ says Captain Matt Glenn.

In addition to being a member of Gundalow’s board of directors, she is also a Member, Donor, Volunteer, Camp Assistant, and frequent passenger aboard the Piscataqua for Tuesday sunset sails. PERSONAL DEETS Dr. Barbara Hughes is a former healthcare executive with a DNP in Nursing, having retired from Exeter Hospital as Vice President of System Quality.
