Changes to the 2020 Gundalow Schedule:
- March 18th Science Cafe cancelled – speakers may be able to join a Tuesday Speaker Series sail later in the season TBD
- Gundalow Gatherings on April 4th & 18th postponed – New dates to be determined, likely Sept/Oct
- Annual Meeting postponed – New date in June TBD
- School programs starting early May on watch
- Public Sails likely to start late May or early June

The Gundalow Company takes the health and safety of our passengers, members, volunteers, crew and staff seriously and like many organizations we are monitoring the evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. In light of events that have occurred over the past few days regarding the cancellation of sporting events, conferences and larger social gatherings, we have decided to cancel our Science Café scheduled for Wednesday, 18 March. For future events – we will continue to evaluate the situation and adapt our cancellation policies as necessary. We will communicate any changes, postponements, or cancellations of events immediately through social media, on our website, and, if appropriate, directly with registered attendees.
Additionally, I have instructed the staff to review our current emergency operating plans to ensure that we are addressing concerns related to the coronavirus. If necessary, we will develop contingency plans based on guidelines provided by the CDC and state/local government and public health officials as they apply to the handling of school programs, social gatherings and other events we are currently planning for or preparing to attend.

The staff and I want you to know that we are not only looking at short term measures to help in the prevention of the spread of COVID-19, but also looking ahead to ensure the safety of our passengers, campers and festival goers this upcoming sailing season. We will provide more guidance as necessary.
