The nonprofit Gundalow Company hosts nearly 130 field trips each year which equates to over 2,000 students of all ages getting the opportunity to experience our rivers and bays from the deck of the PISCATAQUA, our iconic sailing vessel unique to the NH Seacoast and SE Maine region.
Our education programs engage students with onboard, hands-on learning while under sail. Our floating classroom brings a new perspective to our mission of protecting the Piscataqua region’s maritime heritage and environment through education and action.
The Gundalow Company strives to make its award-winning education programs accessible to all students regardless of their ability to pay. The fee collected from schools covers less than 25% of our operating costs. The remaining costs must be covered through multiple sources such as individual donors like you.
In today’s economic environment of rising costs and new tax laws, your support is even more critical to our ability to meet the demand of providing impactful, experiential learning opportunities to the next generation of river and bay stewards. We are counting on your support to keep our programs accessible to students of all ages.
