The Gundalow Company is joining forces with several local groups to help clean up Great Bay. Together with Piscataqua Region Estuaries Partnership and UNH Cooperative Extension/The Stewardship Network: New England we are staging a 1 day clean up of multiple sites around Great Bay.
During the month of May, volunteers around Great Bay have spent hours in their kayaks and canoes, surveying the shores of Great Bay to locate and map garbage and marine debris. Sadly, they found a lot. Check out the photos of some of their finds, below. Now we need more volunteers to help to clean it up!
Join community members, and the vessel Piscataqua for a summer afternoon of service on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, 12:30-3:30pm. We’ll organize a car and truck caravan to pick up multiple shoreline areas. Groups and families welcome! Volunteers will be provided garbage bags and gloves, and will receive a volunteer t-shirt. The first 20 volunteers to register will receive a free Great Bay Savers Card for discounts with local businesses. Registration is required. Sign up to lend a hand today!
