A Message From The Executive Director
We received sad news regarding one of our Gundalow Company volunteers over the weekend. J.B. Parrett, a UNH Marine Docent and a volunteer with us since 2022 passed away on September 11th following a cycling accident in Acadia National Park. J.B. was a member of my UNH Docent Class in 2022 and was also a fellow USNA graduate. Like me, he entered the active Navy after graduation as a Surface Warfare Officer and we swapped many sea stories about our shared experiences driving the big gray ships. J.B. volunteered with several of the other environmentally focused nonprofits in the area and his wife Kim was also a Gundalow Company volunteer sitting with me under the tent at several of the Tall Ships Weekend events in the past.
